The best way to hang lamps from the ceiling is with a
fixing and a screw hook. But: Room ceilings are
sometimes made of hard concrete and working above your
head makes the job even more difficult.
How to proceed:
Make sure that there are no cables or
pipes behind the location where you plan to drill. For
this purpose we recommend using a
metal
finder.
When drilling above your head, it is
easy for dust to fall into your eyes. For this reason,
always where protective glasses to protect your eyes
from falling dust.
Make sure that you have a stable
standing position.
To make a larger fixing hole, first
drill a smaller hole with a smaller drill bit (diameter
4 mm), then use a large drill bit (diameter 6 mm) to
complete the hole.
Insert the fixing, screw in the hook,
and hang the lamp.
Equipment required:
First, you'll need a Bosch impact drill
(the more powerful the drill as measured in watts, the
faster you'll be able to drill) or a Bosch rotary hammer.
In addition:
Masonry
drill bit (4 and 6 mm diameters), appropriate plastic
fixing (4 and 6 mm diameters) and corresponding screw
hooks (see the manufacturer's specifications on the
fixing's packaging).
