Hanging a picture

It is risky to hang heavy pictures on the wall with only nails. Screws with fixings are able to carry greater weight.

How to proceed:

To hang a large picture, you will need to install several screws or screw hooks on which to hang the picture. Use a spirit level to mark the points for the holes. Then simply hang and align the picture.

Before drilling, make sure that there are no cables or pipes behind the wall. For this purpose we recommend using a metal finder.

Drill the holes with the impact mechanism activated.

Remove the dust from the holes with a vacuum cleaner (a dust blower or simply by blowing). Be careful to avoid getting dust in your eyes.

Insert the fixing and tap lightly with a hammer to make sure that the fixing is properly seated in the hole.

Insert appropriately sized screws into the fixing and then hang the picture.

Equipment required:

To drill in masonry, you'll need your Bosch impact drill.
In addition: Masonry drill bit (diameter 4 to 6 mm), plastic fixing  (diameter 4 to 6 mm) and appropriate screws or screw hooks (see the manufacturer's specifications on the fixing's packaging).
