Fixing floorboards with screws

Wooden floorboards with tongue and groove can be laid using screws or adhesive. To secure floorboards to floor joists, the floorboards must be at least 20 mm thick.

How to proceed:

Align the first row of floorboards with the groove side to the wall. Ensure that you leave an expansion gap of 10 to 15 mm.

The first row is fixed using nails. To do so, strike the nails with a hammer vertically into the wooden floorboards and secure them to the Joists.

Fit the wood drill bit into the BOSCH Cordless Screwdriver.

For the next row, use a BOSCH Jigsaw to saw the floorboards to the right length.

Fit the next row of floorboards. So that the screws cannot be seen after the floor has been laid, drill holes in the floorboards at a 45-degree angle above the tongues.

To insert the screws, fit a bit that matches the screws in the BOSCH Cordless Screwdriver
