Drill bits

Types of Drill Bit
The best-known drill bits are named twist drill bits after their appearance and shape. A distinction is made between HSS (High Speed Steel) drill bits and masonry bits. HSS drill bits of type W (soft) are used for soft materials such as wood, plastic, aluminium, steel and other hard materials, are worked on with HSS drill bits of type N (normal) or H (hard). Masonry bits have a tungsten-carbide plate on their tips and are used for impact drilling.

For special tasks, there are many other drill bit types. Core cutters or hole saws are used to drill large holes as of a diameter of 25 mm. Step drill bits cut recesses for recessed head screws while drilling. Tile drill bits are used for drilling smooth and brittle materials. You will find the appropriate bits for your BOSCH Cordless Screwdriver at power tool dealers or in DIY superstores.
