Compact Power Pack:
The new cordless impact wrench GDR 14.4 V from Bosch
High torque and a compact design
The new cordless impact wrench GDR 14.4 V from Bosch is a real power pack. With a maximum of 135 newtonmeters, it delivers nearly twice as much torque as the most powerful cordless drill drivers in this voltage class. This means that it is predestined for the hardest screwdriving
applications that require a lot of power and also have to be completed quickly. Metal, boiler, high-rack and scaffolding fitters, installation and maintenance specialists, HVAC fitters but also joiners, plasterers or carpenters can make good use of this tool, which makes their work
efficient and less tiring for them.
Impact wrenches are ideally used for fitting or dismantling metal screw connections. The optimum range of application for the GDR 14.4 V is screws between M8 and M12, the upper limit is M16 screws. With 3200 beats per minute, it also proves its speed when used on wood screws up to
50 millimeters in length. For example, it requires just two seconds to insert a screw with dimensions of 3.5 x 50 millimeters into softwood.
Despite all of its power, the new impact wrench is compact and very handy. The ergonomically shaped Softgrip handle and the low weight of just 1.85 kilograms make work easier, especially in hard to reach areas or when working overhead. Furthermore, dangerous kick-back does not
occur when driving screws with impact, thus preventing any risk of injury to the user's wrist. Even working in the dark is no problem. An LED that can be adjusted to three different bit length settings guarantees convenient screwdriving. The belt/ladder holder is a practical aid when
working on scaffolds or ladders.
The GDR 14.4 V is just as powerful as it is sturdy. The pot design and the metal gear housing are testament to this. The particularly large fan ensures good cooling. And the heavy-duty batteries of the GDR are in a class of their own. Their special cooling elements offer optimum
heat distribution within the battery pack, thus preserving the battery cells. These batteries can withstand about 50 percent more charge cycles than conventional accumulators. The tool comes complete with a half-hour charger that additionally increases the efficiency of the new
batteries.
