The new Detector DMF 10 Zoom (Digital Multi-Finder) from Bosch detects not only metals and electric wiring, but also wooden substructures. Its unique zoom function enables it to locate much more accurately than comparable detectors.

At the push of a button, the user selects whether the device should search for metals such as reinforcing steel and copper pipes or for wooden substructures

However, the DMF 10 Zoom not only finds positions where one should not drill. To insert fittings, for example for wall cupboards, drywall constructions, one can also use this device to locate wooden beams in these areas. In the wood mode, the sensitivity of the Digital Multi-Finder is increased at the push of a button; this "DeepScan" function enables the user to find substructures embedded deeper in the wall, for example under thick plasterboard.

The DMF 10 Zoom draws attention to its search result by changing the color of its LED ring from green to red and by triggering an acoustic signal. It presents the result graphically on a large LCD display. The additional zoom column makes accurate locating easier and facilitates the detection objects situated deeper in the wall. If the DMF 10 Zoom finds live wires, a thunderbolt symbol and an additional 5-segment voltage indicator for more accurate locating appears in the display. Closer to the current, the LED ring flashes red combined with a fast repeating acoustic signal.

The user can mark the borders or the center of the objects located through the center of the LED ring with a pencil. The pencil, that has its a space in the housing, is included.

The DMF 10 Zoom is easy to use and ready for use immediately after being switched on. The tool automatically calibrates itself and thus prevents incorrect measurements, which saves the user time. The flat housing is easy to guide thanks to its non-slip softgrip.
