Fitting a Canvas blind

When it gets really hot in summer, spots in the shade are the best places to be. With a canvas blind, you can enjoy the summer on your terrace, protected from the sun. A canvas blind also keeps the heat out of living accommodation, which means that it stays pleasantly cool indoors.

How to proceed:

Draw a horizontal guiding line on the masonry and mark the holes for the blind brackets. You can use a spirit level to align the marking points horizontally.

Use the BOSCH Rotary Hammer to drill at the marked positions.

Press the spacers into the drilled holes and knock in the spacers in such a way that they are flush with the masonry.

Fit the adapter for screwdriver bits in the drill chuck and place the screwdriver bits in the adapter. Screw the blind brackets into the spacers.

Engage the canvas blind in the brackets and attach them with two clamping bolts.

Pull out the canvas blind to check and adjust the drop profile and angle of inclination. Use a spanner for this purpose.

What you need:

Canvas blind, BOSCH Rotary Hammer, metre stick, spirit level, wall plugs (the appropriate dowels are usually enclosed when you buy the blind; if not, ask which wall plugs are suitable for your canvas blind), spacers, blind brackets, screws, adapter and screwdriver bits as well as a spanner.
