Screwdriving

With a choice between right or left direction of rotation you can use the Bosch impact drill to drive or remove screws. Most screws are installed by rotating them clockwise and removed by rotating them counterclockwise.

Do not install a short screwdriver bit directly into the drill chuck. Use instead a universal holder, into which you insert the bits. There are four common bit types, each of which is suited to a different type of screw head: slotted, Allen, cross head, and Torx. When working with screws, unlike drilling, always use low rotational speed. A lower speed will allow you to work more precisely and to sense when the screw is properly seated.

For example, if you want to drive several screws into a piece of wood, the Bosch models equipped with torque limitation allow you to set the maximum turning power that the drill will exert. The tool will automatically switch off when it reaches the value you set. When you use this feature, all screws will be tightened with the same amount of power and none of the screws will be over tightened. Those who pay attention to every detail will be best served by a tool with Power Control. You can limit the torque.

Attention

Before inserting or removing screws, always turn the impact mechanism off!
