The velcro-type fastening makes changing sanding sheets child's play: pull off the old sanding paper and press on the new one, and that's it. Polishing felts are changed in exactly the same way. Ensure, however, that the sanding sheet is attached exactly and that the holes for dust extraction are kept clear. To do this, it is best to bend the sheet slightly between your thumb and fingers and press it onto the sanding plate from the centre outwards.
