Sun, rain and frost have worn the paint down on your summerhouse or tool shed so much that it could do with a new coat of paint again. With the BOSCH Random Orbit Sander, you get not only a nice, smooth surface, you also make quick progress with the work.
Proceed as follows:
Stick a red:Wood sanding sheet with a grit of 60 onto the sanding plate of your BOSCH Random Orbit Sander and sand the surface down. |
Remove the sanding dust from the wood. Simply remove it with a vacuum cleaner. Usually, however, very fine dust stays stuck to the wooden surface. The best way to remove this is to use a honey-soaked cloth. These cloths are available from specialist retailers or in DIY stores. |
Replace the sanding sheet with a grit of 60 with a sheet with a grit of 80 and sand the wooden surface until it is even and smooth. |
Remove all of the sanding dust again and replace the sanding sheet with a grit of 80 with a sheet with a grit of 120. Now do the fine sanding. |
Once you have removed all of the sanding dust, wipe the surface down using a damp cloth. This makes impressed dents swell up and wood fibres stand up. |
When the wood is completely dry, stick a sanding sheet with a grit of 180 onto the sanding plate of your BOSCH Random Orbit Sander and give the wood a final polish. |
Remove all of the wood dust again and paint the wood using paint or varnish. |
