With the BOSCH Cordless Screwdrivers and Cordless
Impact Drills/Drivers, you can not only insert and remove
screws but also drill holes. Set the setting ring to the
drilling function. The
drill bit you use depends on the material you wish to
drill. Rules of thumb:
Soft materials (wood, plastic, but also
metal): HSS
drill bit drilling function
Hard materials (masonry - only possible
with the BOSCH Cordless Impact Drill/Driver) masonry bitimpact
drilling function
Holes with small diameter: high
rotational speed
Holes with large diameter: low
rotational speed
Apart from the material, you should know two things
before you start drilling:
How
large is the hole diameter to be? How
deep will the drilled hole be?

Warning
When drilling, it is very easy to slip
slightly off-line and then drill slanted holes. This is
why when you are drilling you should always ensure that
you are really working perpendicular to the wall or work
piece.
