Compact, lightweight and handy:
The Multi-Sander PSM 80 A from Bosch for DIY enthusiasts

  • Suitable for sanding in corners and on large surfaces
  • Clean sanding thanks to efficient dust extraction with micro filter system
  • Easy to operate for right-handers and left-handers

Whether restoring furniture or touching up painted surfaces: with the new Multi-Sander PSM 80 A, Bosch is offering a tool that is perfectly suited to many applications. It combines the functions of the orbital sander with those of the delta sander. Its sanding plate resembles the sole of a small iron and consists of two parts. The rear part is fixed and the delta-shaped sanding plate tip is rotatable: if the front corner of the sanding paper is worn down, the user can rotate the sanding plate tip together with the sanding paper or he can simply remove the sanding paper and fix it on again using the micro Velcro-type fastening system. In both cases, all three corners of the sanding paper are used and worn down equally, which triples the service life. The new micro Velcro-type fastening system has a 50 percent longer service life than previously known Velcro-type fastening systems.

The new multi-sander has a powerful 80-watt motor but weighs just 900 grams and is compact and handy. It can be guided effortlessly with one hand. The ergonomic design with large softgrip surfaces on the handle allows for low-vibration and, therefore, fatigue-free working. The on/off sliding switch positioned in the middle of the handle is equally easy for left-handers and right-handers to operate.

The efficient dust extraction system with micro filter box is practical for the DIY enthusiast. Conventional tools spread the sanding dust around the area of work, preventing a clear view of the workpiece. The PSM 80 A collects the majority of the produced sanding dust in the ribbed filter of the box. The transparent box material makes it easy to tell how full it is. The box is easy to empty: detach, open, empty and refit.
