Replacing the sanding sheets via the velcro-type fastening on the sanding plate of your multifunction sander is easy to do: pull off the old sanding sheets and press on the new ones, and that's it. You need two separate sanding sheets for the front, triangular part and the rear, trapezoidal part. These are available from BOSCH in a combi pack. This pack can be bought in DIY stores and from specialist retailers. Always ensure, however, that the sanding sheets are attached exactly and that the holes for dust extraction are kept clear. To do this, it is best to bend the sheets slightly between your thumb and fingers and press them onto the sanding plate from the centre outwards.
The front, triangular sanding plate can be rotated in 120-degree steps. In this way, you make optimum use of the
sanding sheet
and the sanding paper lasts three times longer than usual. If you do not turn the sanding plate, mostly only the front corner of the sanding sheet is worn down, meaning that you have to change it earlier than necessary.
Do you want to work with the louvre sanding attachment or the two sanding fingers? Then simply change the sanding plate on your BOSCH Multifunction Sander. BOSCH SDS technology makes this possible at the push of a button and without the need for any tools. Press the red button at the front of your multifunction sander, remove the sanding plate and attach the sanding finger or the louvre sanding attachment. You should hear it click into place.
