For us, business and responsibility go hand in hand. Through a long-term partnership with WWF Germany, we are stepping up our commitment to sustainability and giving our transformation an additional boost. We are also raising awareness within the company among our associates, empowering and inspiring them to act more sustainably.

Our partnership with WWF Germany

World Wide Fund For Nature (WWF) is one of the biggest, most experienced conservation organizations worldwide. For more than 60 years now, it has been working to preserve biodiversity. It is a private and independent organization that operates in nearly 100 countries to protect the natural world. What unites us is the idea of shaping a better future. We firmly believe that WWF is the right partner to accompany us on our transformative journey. Together with WWF, we have been advancing our existing sustainability strategy since 2023 in order to make an effective contribution to mitigating the climate and biodiversity crisis. Our partnership is designed to last at least five years.

Strategic consulting

Our strategic partnership includes the critical exchange and support from WWF Germany in all relevant areas that we want to improve – for example, on our climate and packaging strategy and issues relating to the circular orientation of our company.

We have also completed the WWF's One Planet Assessment in order to systematically evaluate the environmental and social impact of our business activities. The assessment is derived from the One Planet Business Framework and evaluates the sustainability performance of companies along the four core dimensions of climate, freshwater, biodiversity and human rights. Together, we develop effective measures based on the identified need for action.

Inform associates

Raising awareness and appropriate training for our associates are key aspects of our collaboration. With the WWF Academy, we offer a comprehensive range of courses that impart relevant knowledge and solution-oriented skills on topics such as climate protection, resource conservation and plastic avoidance.

Support projects

Deforestation, overexploitation of natural resources and plastic pollution not only threaten natural habitats and their rich biodiversity, but also the livelihoods of countless people. As a global manufacturer of power tools, we also operate production sites in Asia. Based on this connection, we are supporting four WWF nature conservation projects in the Philippines, Bhutan, Vietnam and Indonesia until 2028 in order to reconcile economic, ecological and social challenges in the best possible way.

Inspiration and enablement

In addition to the training courses offered by the WWF Academy, we offer our associates at Bosch Power Tools a wide range of sustainability-related training courses. The aim of these initiatives is to enable our associates to embed sustainability in their day-to-day work. Our offerings range from online training courses and workshops to in-depth training courses for specific target groups, so that all associates are addressed individually depending on their previous knowledge and function.

We are constantly driving forward our commitment to sustainability. Our aim is to have as little impact as possible on the environment. As a globally active company, we pursue a holistic approach to sustainability along the entire value chain and across all divisions.

Product design and materials

We continuously work on our product design and use life cycle analyses to examine how our products can be made more sustainable along the entire value chain. The largest share of CO₂ comes from the materials used. We therefore use a high proportion of recycled materials wherever possible. This applies not only to our products, but also to our packaging.

Circular economy

At Bosch Power Tools, we want to move away from the dominant, linear value creation and towards closed cycles in the long term. While the former means that the product's life ends after the first phase of use, circular value creation means that a product can be reused in whole or in part during and after the initial use phase. This includes processes such as repairing and refurbishing the entire product, reusing individual parts, and recycling.
