To work with a BOSCH Belt Sander, you also need various sanding belts in addition to the tool itself. Given that the belt sander is more a tool for coarse sanding, i.e. removing a lot of material on large surfaces, you should definitely have coarse-grained sanding belts as part of your equipment too.
The belts can be attached and changed using the easy-to-operate clamp lever. Pull it all the way out. The distance between the two rollers is reduced and the belt is no longer clamped. Now remove the old sanding belt and simply push the new belt evenly over the two rollers. If necessary, you can centre the belt's running position by hand using the guide roller. Now use the clamp lever to press the two rollers out again. The sanding belt now sits tightly in position and the belt sander is ready for operation. |
